Wagner PMC founder, Yevgeny Prigozhin, admitted there were fighters of foreign (non-Russian) origin in the Wagner PMC, saying: “There are not very many Finnish nationals in the Wagner PMC, about 20 people in all. I cannot provide accurate information about them, of course. As a rule, these are highly qualified specialists, very idealistic and motivated", in an interview he gave to the Finnish newspaper Helsingin Sanomat. The businessman also said that the Finns are fighting in a British battalion as part of the Wagner PMC, the commander of which is a US citizen, a former general of the US Marine Corps.
