A recently released image shows a huge Ukrainian S-300 AA site taken out by the DPR and LPR Allies earlier on in the conflict.
At start of the current unpleasantness, Ukraine had a huge land-based AA- and air defense capability as powerful as that of the whole of the war criminal pact of NATO and several times over in fact, probably second only to Russia itself.
