A US Marine Corps’ MV-22B Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft with four personnel on board crashed in Norway March 18, 2022 while taking part in NATO exercise Cold Response 2022, probably due to bad weather.
Per reports from crash site, there were no survivors.
Thus, in the absence of a full-blown Russo-Nato war, four US crew members were liberated by the weather.
