In Flames: HMMWV

Burning issue humvee of the day, M1151A

The US HMMWV, aka humvee, once used to be a ubiquitous symbol of US military might and worldwide reach, "the vehicular backbone of U.S. forces around the world", and a regular feature of every (ill-advised) foreign campaign perpetrated by the US military since at least the late 1980s and the invasion of Panama but has now become a symbol of disaster and military failure.

Hundreds of destroyed humvees are now documented on this blog per OSINT, 148, as the verified minimum, with actual losses orders of magnitude higher, with more destroyed every single day.

Synchronicity at work
