Is the US M777 howitzer doomed?
US BAE designed and built M777 howitzers are maybe good for killing civilians in indiscriminate shelling of cities in Eastern Ukraine, but they are unwieldy, fragile and very high maintenance, made of poor quality British sourced metal and components, regularly break in process of operation, require extensive training to operate, and also require supplies of liquid nitrogen to be able to function (!), easy to knock out even in indirect fire by small amounts of shrapnel or even by indirect small arms fire, also easy to locate and destroy by precision and not-so-precision munitions as this post will demonstrate which is a record of M777 howitzer destruction and losses in the Ukraine conflict.
Though the M777 artillery was much touted or even fapped to earlier on in the conflict by Natoids as the then latest in a series of Western wunderwaffen that was supposed to turn back the tide, the US British-made M777 howitzer is another much hyped but, in reality, near useless and incapable Western and NATO weapons system and substandard, to boot, like all of the Western- and NATO designed and manufactured weaponry, and one that is easy to take out too.

American M777 howitzers supplied to, and subsequently operated by, the Nato-supplied and trained Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), have already been destroyed on a number of occasions and in some numbers, likely more than 10, and here is debris of one on a field in east in the Ukraine-occupied L/DPR.

Details of the event from the Russian Ministry of Defense:
Russian UAVs have established the coordinates of a firing position of 155-mm US M777 howitzers used by AFU militants in the area of the settlement of Pidgirnoye;
Subsequently a UCAV was dropped on the firing position of the American howitzer battery and several guns were damaged, Ukrainian militants tried to hide in the shrubs and hide remaining M777 artillery there;
As soon as the Ukrainian militants concentrated the tractors and guns in the forest, concentrated artillery fire was employed.
All equipment and the American howitzers were destroyed.
The surviving Ukrainian gunners were allowed to flee.
Per reports, here is what is said to be the first US M777 howitzer supplied to the Nato trained Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU / SZU) slightly bashed and captured.
