AMEDI, Kurdistan Region — Turkey late Sunday once again started shelling
Kurdish fighters of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in border villages of the Kurdistan region of Iraq.



Turkish artillery began shelling the villages of Bedkar, Spindar, Baluka
and Kara in the Kani Masi district of Amedi, according to Rudaw correspondent Gharib Majid. Intermittent Turkish shelling is ongoing and casualties are not yet known.



Ankara has a history of bombarding border areas of the Kurdistan region in Iraq to target PKK fighters, mostly around Mount Qandil.

Yemen war report on the battles of Jabiry, Qamar, and Hamdhah (Hammizah) part of advancement into Saudi territory of Jaizan (Jazan). Footage shows take over of Saudi Army positions, Saudi artillery shelling lost territory, caches of seized weapons and ammunition.

We see a number of destroyed vehicles:

• M1 Abrams tanks, at least 2;
• M113 APCs, several units;
• Oshkosh M-ATVs, many; 

The Oshkosh M-ATV is supposed to be a Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle. However on this evidence you can't say that it offered much protection in this particular ambush as they appear to be the most damaged and even totally destroyed.

Maybe, the Oshkosh Corporation should have stuck to making its fire trucks.

Baghdad: Iraqi forces have made significant advances around Ramadi
and an operation to retake the city captured by Daesh in May is looming,
officers said Wednesday.

“Great people, the hour of victory
against the Daesh criminal gangs has come,” said a statement from the
Joint Operations Command for Anbar province, of which Ramadi is the
capital.

“Your heroic forces are advancing steadily from the
northern side... they managed to reach Albu Farraj area,” on the
northern edge of the city centre, it said.

The head of the Anbar
command, Major General Esmail Mahalawi, told AFP that “Iraqi forces have
raised the Iraqi flag on Albu Farraj bridge”, over the Euphrates.

Since the start of October, Iraqi forces have been closing in on Ramadi,
gaining ground west and north of the city in particular.

Claims are made that Sunni fighters too will support the assault against the ISIS-held town.

LAV-25 Destroyed In Yemen

Video shows a LAV-25 armored recon vehicle destroyed in Yemen allegedly using a Metis ATGM.

The LAV-25 (Light Armored Vehicle) is an eight-wheeled amphibious armored reconnaissance vehicle used by the United States Marine Corps and Canadian Army as well as by US clients, including Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

It was built by General Dynamics Land Systems Canada and is based on the Swiss MOWAG Piranha I 8×8 family of armored fighting vehicles.

Towards the end of the video, two Bradley Fighting Vehicles are also seen destroyed.
